Old unibus is described on ComputingResources as being:
Machines/Unibus: 130.195.11.127 / 10.73.0.1
- PII 233, 64MB RAM, 4GBish disk, several NICs
- Hosts the interface website and mailing lists, does ALL the swans routing
- Only one network interface in active use; this has all the SWANS traffic, both tunneled and unencapsulated passing through it. This would make MRTGing difficult
- Unused ethernet interface is bridged to SWANS too
- ssh is on port 24; port 22 is forwarded to smithers
This was pointed out yesterday as being a bit old and slow.
Lots of people have hardware to throw at it as a replacment.
DonAld suggests
- Athlon 600+
- 60GB disk
- Xen, to seperate out Border Router and Web/Mail/Mailinglist services, and ease remote admin when things go wrong
DonAld can provide (for free, it's all taking up space in my garage)
- Duron 600 or Athlon 850, +mobo
- Some ram? 256M or more would be nice...
- 20GB disk, maybe?
Others?
