Andrew Walbran will give a brief talk about how to use access control lists for file permissions under Linux.

Although they are often disabled by default, Linux has for a while supported access control lists (ACLs) for fine-grained permissions controls on files. I will show you how to enable ACLs and (briefly) how to use them.
